Paving FAQ
How long will my new asphalt surface last?
If you maintain it properly and get it sealed by us every 2 years, it should last around 30 years or longer.
How long do I keep off the driveway?
24 hours without walking on it. 4 full days without driving on it. The driveway will be oily for the first 2 weeks making the asphalt a bit softer. Avoid any hard braking and turning your steering wheel for the first 2 weeks after the driveway has been paved to prevent any bad tire marks.
Do I need a permit to install a new driveway?
If your driveway will have the same dimensions, you don’t need a permit. If you want to make your driveway a lot bigger, a permit may be needed.
What is the process of getting a new driveway?
We rip out the driveway with our heavy duty machinery. We then examine the foundation of the driveway and determine how much stone needs to be added to the ground. We compact the stone. Finally, we pave your new driveway and compact it to a smooth finish.
